We Like To Party

Getting my pre-birthday celebrations in--last night out to dinner with the hubby (so very nice) and tonight surprised with a cake by the whole fam. The cover story for the cake was, "Don't come in here, there's a rat in the kitchen." Pleasantly surprised, indeed.

Hi Pretty

Dries It Yourself

It was DIY night last night! Finally got around to doing this project courtesy of In Style a couple of months ago. Dries jeans? Why yes, please! These are a pair of Gap jeans that I found at the thrift store. Dipped them in 6 cups water, 12 cups bleach for five minutes, hung to bleach for 30 min, repeated 3 times. Turns out the base color on these jeans is not white but "natural," so they look more like a pale lemon yellow than white. Works okay for me. And funny, because I'd just seen two other women wearing light yellow jeans and thought Hmm, interesting.
